Faculty Development and CE and CODA
We are preparing for CODA at our school and I have been asked to see what other SODs have language-wise for how faculty development and CE are expected of faculty. If anyone has any incite on this let me know.

Hi Alexandria, we are finally having our site visit next month so about a year ago I slogged through what they were asking for, and then finished up the reporting in March. It was a ridiculous amount of reporting that no one will look at except to see that it is there I imagine. Good times! Getting info from colleagues across campus from outside sessions took a minute to collect so give those folks some time. I was able to copy and paste content from our previous self-study and just tweak it slightly, but the one part that was new for us was the question about listing those that attended any type of session - appendix 3.2c.
The 3 appendices for me were:
1. List of meetings/seminars/courses which dental faculty attended during the last two plus calendar years (2021-March 2023) (Appendix 3.2a)
2. List of dental school sponsored in-service programs/meetings/seminars/courses that have been presented to full- and part-time dental faculty during the past six plus years (2017-March 2023), including, but not limited to, the following categories:
The dental school sponsored in-service programs/meetings/seminars/courses listed below include Continuing Education Courses sponsored by the School of Dentistry’s Office of Continuing Education, the Health Science Campus Faculty Development offerings and University of Louisville Delphi Center and main campus offerings. [Appendix 3.2b]
3. Include a list of faculty who participated in each program, including faculty at sites where required educational activity occurs, in #2 above. Provide information by program site. (Appendix 3.2c)
I was thankful that our ADA CERP reporting (I've blocked out whatever that ridiculousness is called!) wasn't at the same time. I can only handle so much unneseccesary weekend work at one time! 🙃
