Call for Nomination - ADEA Section on Continuing Education
The ADEA Section on Continuing Education is currently seeking nominations for the office of Secretary. Membership in the CE Section is required for this position. If elected, the position is effective at the close of the 2023 ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition, March 14, 2023.
You may nominate yourself or nominate other members of this section, but please consult with the Officers before submitting names for consideration. If interested, please provide the following information by Monday, February 27, 2023, to Kelly Fong (Chair-elect). kfong@pacific.edu

· Nominee's Name, Institutional Affiliation, Current Faculty/Administrative Position(s), and contact email / phone.
· A brief statement/paragraph describing the nominee's background and interest in the position.
Information received by candidates will be reviewed by the Nominating Committee and the election will take place at 7:00 am PST, March 13th, at the Business Section meeting. In accordance with ADEA bylaws, nominations can be accepted at the time of the meeting, or from the floor, when nominations are not received or proposed by the nominating committee. Any candidates nominated from the floor are required to submit the above requested information.
Kelly Fong, the current Chair-elect, will serve as the Chair of the Nominating Committee. I do hope you will consider service to this Section and increase your involvement in ADEA.
It is the duty of the secretary to record the minutes of Section/SIG meetings and disseminate them to the Section/SIG membership; attend the Annual Session & Exhibition and interim meetings of the Council of Sections; submit the minutes and current Officer contact information to the Section Councilor for submission with the Section annual report to the Council of Sections Staff Liaison; publish and disseminate a Section newsletter; serve as ADEA Connect ambassador; and perform any Section-related duties requested by the Chair.
